According to tradition in our Republic Metallurgist Day is celebrated on
July third Sunday. This holiday is fast connected with steelk works in Rybnitsa. Built in soviet period
enterprise imbibed into itself best USSR
labour traditions. At that time this enterprise loudly presented itself as
advanced works. Newest technologies, international
work collective and state support permitted to make the factory number one in USSR
list of ferrous steel producers.
All over the post-soviet space (including Transniestria) after tragic collapse of USSR breakdown of enterprises which had been in united national economy complex. Moldova Steel Works not only survived in complicated conditions of transition and market reforms but renovated equipment and innovated newest highly remunerative technologies of steel production. Internal transformations on enterprise were made owing to young Transniestrian republic. It’s no wonder because in 1990 Rybnitsa metallurgists very actively entered into the PMR-building process.
Strategic milestone in works development is that enterprise had been purchased by Russian investors which provided its undisturbed operation and produced output realization on the world market.
