Yesterday in Kiev about 2000 believers have passed on a city religious procession, thus expressing their negative opinion to the plans of the liders of the country to enter Ukraine into NATO .
Participants of religious procession with the name "Orthodox against NATO" with posters "Ukrainians – are not a gun meat of NATO", "Feodosiya against NATO", "Say No to NATO in Ukraine" have spent protest actions in front the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the mayoralty of Kiev.
"Lenta.ru" quotes Jury Egorov's words, the chairman of the organization "Alexander Nevskogo's Orthodox brotherhood": "We have made the protest against plans of the present Ukrainian power on violent retraction of Ukraine in NATO. We are assured that it can lead to the most pitiable consequences for the people of Ukraine".
The chairman of an orthodox brotherhood also has informed, that on Thursday in District Administrative Court of Kiev, the session about the claim of orthodox citizens against president Victor Yushchenko and prime minister Julia Timoshenko should take place. There is a request to recognize the demand of Ukraine on joining to a plan of action on membership in NATO illegal.
"We wanted the judges knew opinion of the people, but session was postponed. We were informed that it has happened because of illness of the judge", - added Egors.
